Jonathan has been an innovator in emerging media, media research and audience-based media solutions for over two decades.
Jonathan joined VideoAmp in 2020, where he develops and drives development and industry adoption of transaction-ready cross-platform TV currency data to serve the entire media ecosystem, including media buyers, sellers, and delivery providers.
Before this, he was Chief Research Officer at Omnicom Media Group, leading development and deployment of data-driven cross-platform audience-based media tools. Prior to OMG, Jonathan was Chief Research Officer at TiVo, led cross-media research initiatives for AT&T AdWorks (now part of Xandr), and led media advisory at Iconoculture (now part of Gartner).
Previously, Jonathan co-founded / participated in several pioneering Internet businesses, including Anonymous Media Research (which holds 8 US patents in ACR-based audience measurement technology), Hotwired (the first banner-ad-supported Website), Cyborganic (an early online/offline social media venture), C|NET (the first Web + TV content venture), and The WELL (a pioneering online community).
Jonathan holds a PhD in Communication from Stanford and an AB in Philosophy from Harvard. He hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and lives in New York City with his wife, two teenagers and three cats.
