Emily Palmer

Emily works with ad tech vendors, publishers, and marketers as a senior industry consultant.

She began her professional journey in 2000 at Saatchi & Saatchi in San Francisco, then lived in London
for almost 12 years; today Portland, Oregon is Emily's base as she works with clients in several countries.

Emily has lived the evolution that so many speak of, cutting her teeth in the original dotcom boom (and subsequent bust), direct publisher ad sales, then ad networks, through to the early days of programmatic advertising and everything since.

Emily’s work in programmatic advertising and data ecosystem has defined her career; she has been in the space since 2011, working at MediaMind (Sizmek) and OpenX, then at publishers Reuters and Stylist.

She is very involved in the programmatic and data community, talking with peers on multiple sides of the table every week, speaking at events such as Mobile World Congress, Programmatic Pioneers and the Brand Safety Summit.

In addition, she is committed to advancing women in the industry in her role as Chairwoman of The Women in Programmatic Network, a fast-growing global network of hundreds of women in ad tech.

Outside work, Emily endeavours to eat amazing food whenever possible and relax by painting with acrylics and watercolours. She also speaks some Swedish.
